I am drawn to the desert. It heals my soul. This collection is inspired by Joshua Tree and the other wordly landscapes of the Mojave. The peaceful and powerful energy of this place calls me back time and again. The desert heals the frenetic pace of the city, and I come back to absorb the calm. The boulders have their own healing energy. I climb up a few of the smaller ones, feeling on top of the world. I feel small amidst the giants.

Each piece is a screenprinted collage, created layer by layer, with shapes inspired by land formations. The boulders are suspended in space, in the midst of slow erosion by the elements. Exposed to the sun, the wind and the water, the forms get rounder over time. They are chiseled smooth into nature’s unique sculptures.
