Dukes and Dolls

I’m excited to share a new opportunity to see my artwork in person—this time in a public, everyday space. I’ve just installed several pieces at Dukes and Dolls (25 Kentucky Street) a beautifully styled salon in the heart of downtown Petaluma.

The collection features seven original alcohol ink paintings, each hand-painted with care and intention. These are not reproductions—every piece is one-of-a-kind, created using a vibrant, fluid medium that captures movement, energy, and emotion in every swirl and bloom of color.

Each piece is framed with custom mats, designed to elevate and complement the work while adding a refined finish. Sizes range from 36 to nearly 40 inches tall, making a bold visual impact, especially within the salon’s airy, double-height space. The scale allows the colors—deep aquas, glowing oranges, and soft neutrals—to breathe and shimmer, catching the light in unexpected ways.

Come visit the salon if you’re in Petaluma, or reach out if you’d like to explore artwork that could bring new energy to your own space.

Art doesn’t just hang on a wall—it transforms. It complements, balances, reflects, and enhances. In this case, the mirrors in the salon double the presence of the artwork, and the neutral walls make the vibrant colors pop. When you’re choosing art for your home or office, think not just about the piece itself, but how it will interact with the space around it. Will it create contrast? Echo your colors? Invite emotion or curiosity?
